    • Independent in your daily routines
    • 16 years and over
    • Motivated and keen to work
    • Must not display violent or aggressive behavior
    • Successful Police Record check

     

    Recruitment process

    • Contact Phoenix Society and discuss the available options
    • Application form & Information brochure sent out if eligible
    • Application form returned with personal and Doctors section completed
    • Tour arranged
    • Complete Interview and Entry Skills Assessment
    • Employment date set if successful
    • Induction
    • One to one training
    • On the job training

     

    All training is individualised and documented.

    All employees are given annual training on such topics as –
    General Safety Awareness
    Forklift Safety Awareness
    Quality
    Health and Hygiene
    Manual and Material Handling
    Disability Services Standards

    Wage assessments are conducted in accordance with the Phoenix Enterprise agreement and assessments are conducted at 3 months, 12 months and 2 yearly.

    Assessments are competency based and not productivity base

    We have 21 levels of pay up to full award wages - Wages are paid on top of the Disability Support Pension fortnightly
