    Key Strategic Partners

In the operation of an organisation such as Phoenix Society, there are a number of strategic partners who all play a significant part in the continuing success of the Society.

Without these partners, our ability to continue to provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities would be negated.

We have identified the following organisations as key strategic partners to the Society:

Department Of Families, Housing, Community Services And Indigenous Affairs

... are the funding providers to Disability Organisations running supported employment services throughout Australia. Through our working relationship with FaHCSIA, we are able to foster employment outcomes for people with disabilities. We are funded in accordance with the Disability Standards of Australia.

    Centrelink

People with disabilities seeking work opportunities at Phoenix Society are directed to like organisations through Centrelink. Our working relationship with Centrelink is such that people are endorsed through the Centrelink process for work at Phoenix Society.

    National Disability Services

NDS (National Disability Services) is the peak body supporting the service providers to people with disabilities in Australia. Through our association with NDS, we are able to lobby and influence Government and their policy makers towards providing better opportunities, which ultimately provide better outcomes for people with disabilities.

    Business SA

Whilst we are a not-for-profit organisation, we do operate a number of Commercial businesses, which requires the employment of staff and employees alike. As such, there are Industrial Relations situations, which Business SA is able to assist us with professionally. Additionally, Business SA has specific dealings with organisations employing people within the disability industry.

    Westpac

Phoenix Society has banked with Westpac for many years. Through the support of the Westpac Banking Corporation, the Society has fostered a strong financial backing with their support.

    Nelson Nexia Wheeler

Nelson Wheeler Accountants have been the Auditors of Phoenix Society for many years. They provide professional accounting advice as well as auditing services. They have a strong understanding of our business practice and are able to support us in many ways.

    Workcover

Through our involvement with the Safety Achiever Bonus Scheme in South Australia (of which we were the successful ‘Safety Employer of the Year’ in 1996), our relationship with Workcover has grown substantially. It has developed to the point where we are now able to offer advice and information to the Workcover Corporation. This not only benefits us - but the Disability Industry as a whole.

    Channel 9 Telethon

Phoenix Society has had a long association with Telethon and, through Television and Radio media, we are able to obtain wide coverage for the services that we provide within South Australia. Additionally, considerable funds are raised through our association with Telethon, through Lotteries, Special Events, donations, etc.

    Charity Direct

In accordance with our ethical standards in fundraising, we are pleased to be associated with Charity Direct which provides proof to the South Australian public that all monies raised by Phoenix Society go directly to our organisation and are not raised by ‘fundraising collectors’ or ‘commission collectors’.

    Workability

Workability is an innovative charitable organisation that supports people with disabilities, mental health problems and those who are marginalised within the community

    Persatuan Daybreak

Daybreak provides vocational training and employment for 60 people with disabilities and an outreach service to more than 500 others and their families

Each of these serves individually yet significantly towards making the Society successful.

We continually seek other strategic partners with whom we can establish such rapport as to enhance the outcomes for our people.

If you feel that you could contribute to our success in the field of disability employment, please contact us today.
